![]() Been lucky enough to have been testing out the North Kiteboarding 2014 9m Dice & Rebel over the last few weeks. Had a couple of amazing sessions and they are both amazing kites with responsive steering & great depower. Have found the 2014 Rebel very similar in feel to last year which I love for down the line waveriding. A few nice upgrades which feature on all the kites this year to the trailing edge and the new valve consolidating North as the best built kites on the market. The Dice is also super nice for waveriding. Needs to be worked a bit more than the Rebel but the responsiveness is the best i've felt on a bridled kite. Great depower and drift the new Dice also works amazing unhooked. Would really recommend the Dice if you are into freestyle and waves and like to unhook, also its 4 or 5 line so fits whatever style. Would say go a meter bigger than the equivalent Rebel. my Dice quiver- 5,7,9,12m I go for the Rebel most of the time as it suits hooked in riding, has amazing depower with great low end and eats gusts! Best for heavier riders or people who want to ride with a surfboard and boost huge hooked in jumps on the TT from time to time. my Rebel quiver- 6,8,10m Check out the vid from a session at Godrevy last saturday. remember to like my facebook page www.facebook.com/LeePasty to stay up to date with all my latest news ;) cheers Pasty Kitesurf racing 25-26 May 2013 at Marazion, Cornwall for the Pasty Cup. Organised by local kitesurf school Pasty Adventures & sponsored by the National Marine Aquarium, The Seiners Arms & Philps Pasties. The forecast for glorious sunshine with no wind, kept all but the top riders away, however the weather gods were with us and the warmest day of the year so far provided a perfect sea breeze to allow 4 races on the Saturday with 4 races on Sunday making a total of 8 races meaning the competitors had 2 discards to give their final score. Alongside all the action on the water, spectators were able to have a go at kite flying on the beach and all the competitors were well fed with Philps pasties in the day & a BBQ in the evening Winning the Race Fleet and regaining the Pasty Cup for a 2nd year was 2012 Youth World Champion, Olly Bridge with mum Women’s World No. 1, Steph Bridge in 2nd (both Exmouth) and Lee Harvey in 3rd (Hayle). In the Open fleet Oliver Laurence from Shoreham took top honours winning the Cornwall Tourism Trophy. Sadly two days after the event we lost our friend and official cameraman Jacob Cockle. We will never forget you Bro xxx Big thanks to all the sponsors, supporters & volunteers. For 2014 we are looking to add Stand Up Paddle racing alongside Kitesurf Racing giving much more for spectators to be involved with. Here is the may issue of Kitesurf magazine where I have a full page kitesurfing in the waves at Praa Sands. Yesterday I had a third of page 2 of the Western Morning News, the south wests biggest selling daily newspaper, with a picture I took myself riding in front of St Michaels mount using the Go Pro 3 black on the K4 harness mount. I was riding the new 2013 Kite Race kit, Dyno 13m and Race 69 from North Kiteboarding which is amazing. If you are interested in any kitesurf clinics or coaching in Cornwall or your home spot? please email lee@pastyadventures.co.uk A week of being stuck in ill allowed me to edit down my 2 years competing on the KSP World Kitesurfing Wave Tour to 4 mins of action. Had some great waves in Mauritius twice and in Peru. Shame we got unlucky in Cape Verde, Portugal & Ireland. I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible. Especially my sponsors- North kiteboarding, ION, Freeriders & Pasty Adventures. For 2013 I am planning on some exciting kitesurfing trips to score amazing waves in far out places. If the KSP goes back to some epic wave spots in 2014 I may try and compete again but for now I've had enough of sitting around and using up my valuable holiday time and hard earned money for nothing! Instead I am going to spend my holiday time searching for new kitesurf waves and concentrate on making money at home with the school & fishing in Cornwall so that I can get away next winter. Hope you like it Cheers Lee ![]() In this cold weather you need something warm and full of energy straight after your session.
