Here is a small vid I knocked together of me testing out the new Resin8 Kitesurfboards in Cornwall back in April. For kitesurfing lessons in Cornwall at Gwithian and Marazion go to my school website www.pastyadventures.co.uk West Cornwalls only BKSA recognised kitesurf school.

![]() After some epic sessions at home lately and a couple of surfs and kites at Porthleven this week, I am now ready and packed for the last leg of www.kspworldtour.com in Cape Verde. In my bag I have- 6'3 Resin8 Tokoro, 5'7 Resin8 Scoop, 6'0 North Wam, 2012 North Rebels 7 & 9m. The perfect quiver to surf and kite and looks like we are going to get some good swell on the weekend. Just hope theres enough getting into Ponta Preta in the next few days to get used to it as not been there for a few years now. Been testing out the Dynabar from Jay this past week and had some good sessions at Gwithian as well as Lev so tried it out on my backhand as well as frontside. Seems good and allows you to get round a bit more on your turns without twisting your side. Check out the pics where you can see it working. Big thanks to Joe Cockle from www.jnpevents.co.uk for the pics. Be sure to check out the gallerys on his site for all the action here in West Cornwall. I am running some coaching holidays in the New Year in conjunction with www.sportif.travel Firstly a wave and freeride camp to Dakhla, Maroc 5th - 12th Feb and an Improver camp to Sagafa, Egypt 24th Feb - 2nd March more details on website http://www.pastyadventures.co.uk/holidays.html cheers lee ![]() Stalling and pulling in Saturday saw some sick waves and my 2nd best session ever at our best and rarest spot- Porthleven. After a few sick surfs there lately the conditions were right on sat 26th feb for a kite. Cross off winds, neap tides and decent swell all came together for a couple of sick hours with me gettting it by myself for the most part while it was cranking. As I hit the water Blackie was out windsurfing proving that it was windy enough for the 7 Rebel, no straps, perfect! Lining up and almost getting slotted on a few I was soon by myself after Blackie got caught out on a set and washed onto the reef. Lining up way behind the normal surf take off spot and then stalling as much as I could I got in on a few but not super deep as couldn't stall as much as I wanted with a real off shore wind and the wave grinding. After 21/2 hours I headed in as the wind dropped a bit and the swell started to drop off with the outgoing tide. I drifted my way back to the landing spot to find Willl, Dom, Smiler and Milson all on the beach keen as even thoug it was now only good not epic! Check a few of the pics my bro took with his standard point n shoot camera. If only I can find out who the 2 guys were with big lenses, were on the pier. Could have a cover shot me thinks? Stay tuned for more to come! All booked up for the upcoming wave events in Dakhla and Lanzarote.
Cant wait to get away for some sun and warm water. Really hope we get good size waves, cross off wind and can push strapless riding in comps to the next level. Got some new boards on the way, can't wait to test em out all next week. Had some crazy conditions here, huge and windy and also light offshore days. Yesterday surfed 2 sessions, 6 hours in total. Sick waves. check out some pics Just had 4 days straight of epic conditions down here in west cornwall.
Thursday was classic kiting on the 9m Rebel at Gwithian, mast high waves and even a barrel for Silsy before getting caned. Friday was huge mast and half and super windy, I was on 4m kite before it suddenly switched onshore and it was way too big to ride in cross on wind. Saturday was sick, super offshore but again the 2011 North Rebel 9m shone and worked amazing. Really showed the windsurfers who were down for the British champs, how to ride waves properly and without the need for straps! All in all 3 solid days of kiting and scoring more waves than all the windsurfers put together! Today sunday was epic Leven for surfing 6ft plus and wide barrels. Had to work catching crabs first but managed to get a few in after. Bit rusty after concentrating on the race board all summer and not much swell around but had a few nice lefts and a real nice right. So pleased the swell is back now so can get my surfing back up to where I was last winter. Awesome forecast for wind & waves the rest of the week now, winter is finally here. Ye Ha! Well the weather has all changed and it's been snowing properly here for the first time in quite a few years. |
