I have so many great memories of Jake that I will hold forever but wish I could still have many more. He was someone who was always there for me, like a brother who never missed my birthdays whenever I was at home in Cornwall. we've been seeing each other loads as we both live in Hayle although he was working a lot lately as a carer in Falmouth which he really loved and gave him the means to live life and do what he loves in surfing, filming and taking amazing photos.
A couple of my most vivid memories are when I first came back from working in Turkey in 1996 & I went with Carolyn & Andi to surprise him at Cape Junior School. He just couldn't get over how brown my feet were. maybe this was why he liked wearing no shoes so much?
Another time we went to a comp called Windfest in Poole, Dorset and dressed up in black tie so we could gatecrash the posh friday night ball. Was so funny as we were speaking to some girls who wanted us to go to their mansion, when he suddenly started laughing and shouting 'shit man you are all so posh'
was hilarious. Then we the sun started coming up we were dancing around on the bowling green getting soaked by the sprinklers getting some funny looks from the dogwalkers and people turing up to set up the event site for the day. Was classic.
So many great times.
I wish you were still here!!!!!!!!!
Big thanks to everyone for all the great messages and support. It was great to see so many at Sandy on Wednesday & Gwenver on Saturday.
Love you forever
